Ryeowook: "At the first practice, I was surprised and jealous watching the fellow actors have so much passion for the stage. I think that passion is the difference between musical actors and I, a singer. It made me want to work harder. Although I have a busy schedule, I'm focusing on practicing during all my free time. I'm doing well thanks to the other actors."
Ryeowook: "I've become close with the ensemble cast. Singing, acting and dancing are important, but it's fun making new friends that I'm trying to make a lot of time for practice. I think just the process of talking to each other and eating with each other has an healing effect. I think it's a big appeal of musical."
At the High School Musical press conference, Ryeowook showed off his friendship with Jaejin by saying, "Jaejin and I slept in the same room."
Q. Ryeowook and Jaejin, what did you guys talk about at night?
Ryeowook: "I didn't spend the night with Jaejin alone. (laugh) I was with ensemble actor, Jo Sungjae and Jaejin. I was practicing High School Musical with Choa and Jaejin at FT Island's company, FNC Entertainment's practice room. After the practice, we drank coffee and decided on a whim to head home together. We talked about the press conference and things that regular men at our age talk about. It's unfortunate that the place for the press conference today was small. I wish that we would have done it in a bigger place with all the actors including the ensemble."
Q. What does it feeling like visiting another management company?
Ryeowook: "The management company office is big and the practice rooms are nice. My current management company, SM Entertainment is renovating so I felt sad. (laugh)"
Q. It looks like the actors have become close with one another. What is an advantage and disadvantage of acting with someone you know personally?
Ryeowook, "I don't know if there is a kiss scene, but if there is, I'll do my best. (laugh) I'm thinking of approaching it with an American sensibility. (joking) Previously, I was only close with actors from the same management company, but I think with this musical, I'll become closer with other actors."
